The broadcast
Japan's TBS will air BTS WORLD TOUR 'ARIRANG' IN JAPAN on November 28 at 8:00 PM on the paid channel TBS Channel 1. It's the TV premiere of the April 17 Tokyo Dome performance. Approximately 110,000 attendees came across the two-day run on April 17 and 18.
The November 28 broadcast slots into a larger TBS programming block called "BTS Special - Precious New Chapter," running all of November with 28 BTS-related programs. Concerts, variety shows, films.
What's in the show
The April 17 setlist: "Hooligan," "Aliens," "Like Animals," "FAKE LOVE," "SWIM," "IDOL," and "Body To Body." That last track comes from BTS's fifth full-length album ARIRANG. It weaves the melody of the Korean folk song Arirang into a modern production, framing the seven members' shared Korean roots and identity. The group chant of Arirang during "Body To Body" is the moment the seed headline references.
Tour numbers and what's next
BTS launched the ARIRANG world tour in Goyang, Gyeonggi Province in April. Cumulative tour revenue has crossed $500 million (approximately 680 billion won).
The tour continues in South America: Santiago, Chile on November 14 and November 16–17 (local time), followed by stops in Buenos Aires, Argentina and São Paulo, Brazil.
