Hwang Bo-ra, Kim Ji-min, Bae Yoon-jung open up about IVF journeys — pregnancy, loss, and perseverance
Three Korean celebrities opened up about IVF this week. Kim Ji-min is expecting in February. Ryu I-seo and Hwang Bo-ra faced miscarriages.

Kim Ji-min is due in February; two others face harder roads
Comedian Kim Ji-min married fellow comedian Kim Jun-ho in July last year. She got pregnant with her first child through IVF that same month and is due in February. On October 19 she posted on social media: "So cute 두룹 with fetal movements every day" — a nickname she's already given the baby.
Ryu I-seo, wife of Shin Hwa member Junjin, had a different story to tell. On October 16, through her YouTube channel 내사랑 류이서, she disclosed that an embryo transfer had resulted in a pregnancy but ended in a miscarriage at seven weeks. Tearfully, she said: "I feel so grateful to the baby for coming to me, even if briefly." She also thanked supporters: "Thank you so much for your encouragement and prayers. We will continue to pray for you."
Hwang Bo-ra documents second-pregnancy attempt
On October 20, actress Hwang Bo-ra's YouTube channel 황보라 보라이어티 released a video following her second-pregnancy preparation process. She described severe fatigue tied to imperfect blood test results and admitted she had considered stopping. "I couldn't easily give up because I regretted the time I'd spent," she said. She intends to keep going: "Because miracles exist, I will challenge to the end even if tired and difficult."
Choreographer Bae Yoon-jung also disclosed that she underwent IVF for roughly three months earlier this year in pursuit of a second pregnancy, but experienced a miscarriage. Appearing on the YouTube channel 카카오뱅크, she recalled going in with the mindset of trying until she had no regrets — then finding that when the difficult moment actually arrived, she let go. Three women, three very different outcomes, all choosing to speak publicly about a process that rarely gets this kind of candid coverage.
