IVE drops 'Looks Can Kill' preview ahead of Oct. 19 pre-release and Oct. 26 mini album
IVE dropped a preview and challenge video for 'Looks Can Kill' on Oct. 12. The title track hits Oct. 19, with the full mini album following Oct. 26.
Title track lands Oct. 19, mini album a week later
IVE is splitting the rollout. Looks Can Kill arrives as a pre-release October 19, then the full mini album drops October 26.
On October 12, the group posted preview audio and a challenge video across TikTok, Instagram, and YouTube. An Yujin, Gaeul, and Jang Wonyoung appear performing against the "Hero Academy" backdrop—the same concept threading through IVE's HERO TRAINING CENTER : HERO COMICS video and photos.
Synth-heavy sound, three members on writing credits
The track opens with an intense synth pad and layers in heavy bass, drums, and electronic textures. The chorus repeats two lines: "춤추듯 I kill them with the rhythm" and "Looks can kill, we're so lethal."
Seo Ji-eum, Lil Cherry, and IVE member Lei wrote the lyrics. The tracklist shows Gaeul, Lei, and Liz also handled song production—three members with writing or production credits across the album. (IVE's lineup: An Yujin, Gaeul, Lei, Jang Wonyoung, Liz, and Leeseo.) The challenge video is live. Pre-release next.
