The CJ ENM x Nippon TV co-production debuted October 7 and cracked Disney+'s global TV Shows chart within 24 hours, reaching No. 2 by October 9.

From Charo Island to 73 countries in two days
Merry Berry Love hit Disney+ on October 7. Within a day, it landed in the platform's Worldwide TOP 10. By October 8 it sat at No. 9 on Flixpatrol's Disney+ TV Shows Worldwide ranking. October 9 brought it to No. 2.
The show topped Disney+ TV Shows charts in Brazil, Japan, and Hong Kong. It cracked the TOP 10 across 73 countries and regions—the Czech Republic, Germany, the United Kingdom, Chile, Poland, Taiwan, and Finland among them.
CJ ENM and Japan's Nippon TV co-produced the drama. Kim Su-jung and Noh Young-seop directed. Lee Jae-yoon wrote it. New episodes air Wednesdays on Disney+ and also on Nippon TV.
Ji Chang-wook meets Imada Mio on a Japanese island
Ji Chang-wook plays Lee Yu-bin, a Korean space planner who loses everything after his business partner betrays him. He lands on Charo Island in Japan hunting for a new life. Imada Mio, a Japanese actress, plays Shirahama Karin, a local farmer.
They collide over ferry boarding rights. Then again in a strawberry field over some mix-up. Episode 1 ends with Yu-bin catching Karin as she collapses and loses consciousness in that same field. (The strawberry-field cliffhanger doing its job already.)
It's a romantic comedy built on friction-to-romance between the two leads, set entirely on the Japanese island.
