K-Festivals Go Global: HYBE Takes Weverse Con to New Delhi, Waterbomb and KCON Expand Reach
HYBE, KCON, Waterbomb, and World DJ Festival are all pushing Korean music festival brands into new international markets across Asia and beyond.

Weverse Con Festival lands in New Delhi for the first time
HYBE will bring Weverse Con Festival to New Delhi, India on March 27–28, 2027. It's the first overseas edition since the festival launched in 2023. TXT (Tomorrow X Together), ENHYPEN, LE SSERAFIM, and Hwasa are confirmed for the lineup, performing alongside local Indian artists.
Until now, the festival has stayed home.
KCON's numbers tell the story
The K-festival export wave has been building for years. KCON started in the United States in 2012. It has now run events across 14 regions worldwide and drawn a cumulative audience of approximately 2.35 million. This year alone: 120,000 attended the Japan edition, and 142,000 showed up in Los Angeles.
Waterbomb expanded from Japan and Thailand in 2023 to Singapore, Hong Kong, and Dubai. World DJ Festival (월디페), running since 2007, entered Japan for the first time last year and held a second Japanese event this year. Its organizer, B.I.P Tangent (비이피씨탄젠트), is pursuing a licensing model to export the festival brand to multiple Asian countries, starting with Japan.
The know-how is the export
The shift isn't just about sending artists abroad. A performance industry official put it plainly:
"An era is opening where not only artists but also performance planning and operational know-how are being exported."
The same official added that "content composition tailored to the local market and stable partnerships" will determine whether these overseas ventures hold. Licensing a logo is easy. Making that work is not.
Cheer the story
