Kim Yu-jung on her 2008 film 'The Chaser': "Many people don't know it's me now"
The actress promoting drama '100 Days of Lies' debuted at age 4 in 2003 and played Eun-ji in 'The Chaser' at age 9.

Kim Yu-jung sat down with host Yoo Byung-jae and Jonathan on the YouTube channel 홍보하러 온 건 맞는데 on October 16 to promote her new drama 100 Days of Lies, alongside co-star Park Jin-young. The conversation wound up covering a filmography that stretches back over two decades.
She's been doing this since 2003
While going through her credits on camera, Kim confirmed she debuted as a child advertisement model in 2003 at age 4. Asked what her very first project was, she gave a candid answer: "I'm not sure." A year later, she took a minor role in the 2004 film DMZ, Demilitarized Zone.
The talk turned to The Chaser (2008), where a 9-year-old Kim played Eun-ji, the daughter of the character Mi-jin. "'The Chaser' was when I was 9 years old, I think," she said. Yoo Byung-jae had his own memory of that film: he watched it twice at the theater as a college freshman because he liked it so much. (A host admitting he double-featured a movie starring a 9-year-old is a very specific kind of compliment.)
The recognition gap
Kim noted that her child-actor past isn't always obvious to newer audiences. "Many people don't know it's me now," she said. Yoo Byung-jae agreed, noting that even though she hasn't changed dramatically, viewers who discovered her later in her career might simply not make the connection.
100 Days of Lies is what brought them both to the channel.
