Lee Ju-yeon recalls Han River dates amid 5 rounds of G-Dragon dating rumors
Lee Ju-yeon reflected on past Han River dates in a new YouTube video, as her five-time dating rumor history with G-Dragon resurfaced.
"It's all old stories"
Lee Ju-yeon posted a Han River picnic video to her YouTube channel 이주의 주연 on October 12. The video, titled 소소하지만 특별한 한강 밥크닉 같이 가실래요?, had her opening up about her dating history at the spot.
"I came to the Han River a lot back then. I dated a lot. I tried it too," she said on camera. Her trainee days were the reason. Back then, there was nowhere else to go. Now? "I'm a bit free. I really don't care. I just go around and people don't really know me."
She also revealed that stylists used to pass along contact information between artists. "Among boy groups, there was one member who approached me. Not just me — other members too."
Five rounds, one denial
The Han River reminiscing landed against a well-documented backdrop. Lee Ju-yeon and G-Dragon have been linked by dating rumors five separate times.
October 2017 brought the first. She posted a video of the two together on a popular app account. A dubbed app video of them was also leaked around that time, with reported sightings of them traveling to Jeju Island. Her agency responded that the two were "close friends."
2019 saw her post what appeared to be a photo taken with G-Dragon on social media, then delete it. Speculation reignited. The fifth and most recent round came in April of last year, when fans noted that the sofa and picture frame arrangement in her posted photos resembled G-Dragon's home, and that a cat in the photos looked like his pet.
Galaxy Corporation issued a statement in June of last year: "The dating rumors between G-Dragon and Lee Ju-yeon that have been continuously raised recently are not true."
Lee Ju-yeon debuted with After School in 2009 and left the group in 2014 to pursue acting. The Han River, apparently, has been a constant.
