LNGSHOT drops 'Masterpiece' MV ahead of EP 'S.W.I.S.H.' and MMA2026 slot

'Masterpiece' lands nine months into debut year

LNGSHOT dropped Masterpiece on October 21. The pre-release single from their upcoming EP S.W.I.S.H. is an alternative R&B track that frames a loved one as a work of art — a "masterpiece." The music video features Japanese actress Miyoshi Ayaka.

S.W.I.S.H. is an acronym: "Swag with integrity shapes history." The group says it captures their intent to build new trends on an authentic foundation. The full EP arrives November 10.

There's real momentum here. LNGSHOT debuted in January. Their debut track Moonwalkin' entered Mediabase's Top 40 chart in October—that's the US radio airplay tracker. A group less than a year old charting on American radio is rare.

DAY2 at MMA2026, the first-ever two-day Melon Music Awards

LNGSHOT is confirmed for DAY2 of MMA2026, the 18th Melon Music Awards, set for November 14–15 at Gocheok Sky Dome in Seoul with Kakao Bank as title sponsor. This marks the first time MMA has expanded to a two-day format.

November 15 includes NCT 127, IVE, PLAVE, 82MAJOR, NCT WISH, ILLIT, KiiiKiii, CORTIS, ALPHA DRIVE ONE, LNGSHOT, hrtz.wav, and AND2BLE.

November 14 features I.O.I, NCT DREAM, ATEEZ, aespa, YENA, RIIZE, TWS, RESCENE, DRAGON PONY, Hearts2Hearts, HANA, IDID, AEN, and TUIDE — 14 acts total.

The event's main slogan is "K-POP CONNECT: The New Pulse." A new award category, "Global TOP10," has been added, tied to the Global-K Chart — a unified Korea-China-Japan indicator launched alongside Tencent Music and Line Music. Voting for the main "TOP10" award runs through October 29 on the MMA2026 page inside Melon.

Ticketing opened October 19 from 8 PM to 11:59 PM for Melon subscribers at MVIP, VIP, or GOLD tier with at least one year of subscription. A second round opens October 22 at 8 PM for any active Melon subscriber. One Melon ID can buy a maximum of two tickets across both rounds.

(For a group that charted on US radio before their first full EP, a MMA stage in month ten is fast.)
