Moon Ga-young's casting in Cha Eun-woo's comeback drama 'Seorabeol Knife' in doubt, with conflicting reports
Studio Dragon offered Moon Ga-young a role in 'Seorabeol Knife', but one outlet says she declined — six years after her 'True Beauty' pairing with Cha Eun-woo.

Studio Dragon confirmed on October 19 that it offered Moon Ga-young a role in the upcoming drama Seorabeol Knife. Whether she'll take it remains unclear.
"We did propose the appearance, and we are currently discussing whether she will appear," the production company said. One outlet, though, reports that Moon Ga-young reviewed the offer and passed.
A reunion six years in the making — or not
The casting buzz hit immediately. Moon Ga-young and Cha Eun-woo last worked together in the 2020 tvN drama True Beauty (여신강림), where both led the cast. Seorabeol Knife was being tracked as Cha Eun-woo's post-military comeback project. He's set to be discharged in January 2027.
Directed by Jang Tae-yu, who previously helmed The Chef of the Tyrant (폭군의 셰프), the drama follows an Italian chef known as "the temptation of the Mediterranean" and a princess destined to become the sun of Seorabeol. Time-slip and cooking elements blend throughout. Seorabeol Knife is targeting a 2027 broadcast. The two outlets are telling different stories right now — one says talks are ongoing, the other says she's out.
