Riot drops 'Know My Name' MV for 2026 Worlds — True Damage returns 7 years later to honor Faker's 6 titles
True Damage's first song in 7 years drops October 9 as the 13th Worlds theme, charting Faker's complete championship arc from 2013 to 2025.

True Damage's first song in 7 years is a Faker retrospective
Riot Games dropped the 2026 League of Legends World Championship theme Know My Name on October 9, along with its music video. Both hit the LoL official YouTube channel and streaming platforms simultaneously. It's the 13th Worlds theme overall—and the first time Riot assigned the role to a virtual artist.
True Damage, the virtual hip-hop group Riot created in 2019, hadn't released anything since their 2019 Worlds finals debut. Seven years later, they're back. The lineup stays the same: Akali, Ekko, Kiyana, Senna, and Yasuo. Soyeon of (G)I-DLE voices Akali. Coco Jones is Senna. Vic Mensa, a Chicago rapper, handles Ekko. Sofia Reyes, a Mexican singer, takes Kiyana. A DJ and producer voices Yasuo.
Maria Egan, Riot's Global Music and Events Lead, explained the decision: "Since this year's World Championship is being held in New York, I felt True Damage was the most suitable artist to perform the theme song."
The MV is basically a Faker career highlight reel
The music video walks through Faker (Lee Sang-hyeok)'s six World Championship wins in order, 2013 to 2025. T1's three straight titles from 2023–2025 anchor the whole thing.
Here's how the championship scenes break down:
- 2013, 2015, 2016 — Faker on Ahri, Ryze, and Orianna respectively
- 2023 — Faker plays Akali. Kumayushi, Keria, Oner, and Zeus appear in an elevator scene representing the "Jeopegueke" starting lineup
- 2024 — Galio arrives to save Zeus from a crisis moment
- 2025 — Zeus gets a shoulder tap and leaves. Doran joins. The finals against KT Rolster show Doran's Gragas barrel explosion and Faker's Anivia eliminating KT's Vivi
T1 beat KT Rolster 3-2 in last year's finals to complete the three-peat. Faker's six titles—2013, 2015, 2016, 2023, 2024, 2025—are the most in Worlds history.
The tournament schedule, and where True Damage performs live
The 2026 World Championship starts with Play-ins in Los Angeles on October 16 (Korean time). Swiss Stage and Knockout rounds happen in Allen, Texas. Finals land at Barclays Center in Brooklyn on November 15, where True Damage will perform Know My Name live during the opening ceremony.
From the LCK, Gen.G, Hanwha Life Esports, T1, and DRX enter the bracket at the Swiss Stage on October 24.
