HERE WAKUKU pop-up hits Seoul for the first time — Yongsan

Chloé Martin·9/22/2026, 5:01:26 PM·36

If you've been collecting WAKUKU art toys online and hitting refresh on restocks, the brand's first official Korean pop-up just landed in Yongsan, and it's worth the trip. HERE WAKUKU is a Chinese art-toy character line that's blown up globally with 1020-age collectors — the signature character is a pouty-faced, chubby-cheeked figure with a deadpan expression and a philosophy of "living by your own rhythm, not the world's rules." The whole vibe is deliberately handmade and storybook-soft, which sounds niche until you see the merch lineup.

The pop-up is on the 6th floor of Yongsan I'Park Mall (용산아이파크몰), near Yongsan Station. The space is designed as a "Handmade World" — every corner is styled with character sculptures, dioramas, and display walls packed with the full range of goods. You're walking into a fairy-tale set, which sounds cheesy but the execution is genuinely immersive. The blogger who visited spent hours photographing character figurines scattered throughout the space.

What's actually here: limited-edition figure keychains (the ones that sell out online instantly), blind-box toys, character plushes, and collab pieces — including a HERE WAKUKU x Argentine national football team keyring line. The blogger noted that popular limited-edition items were already moving fast, so if you're hunting a specific keychain or exclusive piece, don't wait until late in the run. Stock is real but finite.

The experience isn't just shopping — there are photo moments throughout the space, and the blogger spent significant time documenting the character setups. It's designed for collectors and fans who want to see the full world, not just buy and leave.

Practical notes: The pop-up runs July 3 – September 28, 2026. Hours are Sunday–Thursday 10:30AM–8:30PM, Friday–Saturday 10:30AM–9PM. It's walk-in only (no reservation needed). The mall is accessible and climate-controlled, which matters if you're planning a weekend visit.

There are also event incentives running: a raffle entry (1-million-won prize pool including luxury bags) with any purchase, tiered freebies based on spend, a no-loss grab-bag game (10,000 won per pull), and an Instagram-follow merch giveaway. None of these are mandatory, but they're there if you're spending.

Who this is for: WAKUKU collectors, art-toy enthusiasts, and anyone who loves character-driven pop-ups with actual depth. It's not a quick 10-minute stop — budget at least an hour to absorb the space and browse the full range. If you're in Seoul in August or early September and this is on your list, go sooner rather than later; the blogger's direct observation was that limited items are moving.
