Three Seongsu pop-ups worth the trip this September

Chloé Martin·9/10/2026, 3:01:51 PM·44

If you're planning a Seoul visit around late September, Seongsu is quietly becoming the pop-up district to hit — three major experiences are running simultaneously, and they're genuinely worth clustering into a single afternoon. The neighborhood is already a design-forward, gallery-heavy zone, so you can easily stack a pop-up crawl with a café stop or vintage shopping nearby.

Spotify House Seoul (Sept 10–13)

This is Spotify's physical listening space — a rare, temporary installation that won't be running elsewhere. The house is set up as an immersive experience celebrating music and community, but the source doesn't detail what's inside (merch, listening stations, photo zones — those specifics will likely drop closer to opening). Hours are staggered: Thursday 12PM–4PM, Friday 1PM–4PM, Sunday 12PM–7PM. Notably, Saturday September 12 is closed. This one's walk-in only, so arrive early if you want breathing room. The venue is at 서울특별시 성동구 성수일로6길 36 in Seongsu.

Idang Club Refurb & Sample Sale (Sept 12–13)

If you're into Korean beauty and want to score heavily discounted stock, this is the move. The brand is opening their warehouse for a clearance event: refurbished items, samples, and seasonal stock marked down up to 80% off, with flat-rate pricing on some lines. Fresh samples restock every morning at 11AM, so if you miss something Saturday, Sunday might have new drops. The catch: Idang Club members get early entry (you need your membership card), but walk-ins are welcome after that window. Expect this to sell out fast — it's only two days, and sample quantities are limited. Hours both days are 11AM–7PM. The location is 서울특별시 성동구 성수일로12길 14, 1층.

T1 Pop-up: "Tracing the Stars" (July 2–Sept 13, open through September 13)

This is the esports org T1's exhibition space at T Factory Seongsu, celebrating their competitive legacy. It's a ticketed experience requiring pre-booking through t1.fan (reservations opened June 19 and run through September 13 at 8PM). Daily hours are 11AM–8PM. If you're an esports fan or curious about how Korean orgs celebrate their history, this is a polished, official space — not a casual merch booth. The exhibition runs through mid-September, so it's your last window to catch it. Located at 서울특별시 성동구 연무장1길 7-1.

All three venues are within Seongsu proper, clustered close enough to hit multiple pop-ups in one outing. Seongsu Station is your main transit hub — use it as your anchor for the day. Go early (especially for Idang if you want first pick on samples), bring a small bag for merch, and check t1.fan and each brand's official account the morning of for any last-minute updates. September weather in Seoul is still warm and pleasant, so this is genuinely good timing to explore the neighborhood beyond just the pop-ups.
