Yeouido pop-ups Sept 9–16: quokkas, Korean ceramics, Beatles, and mochi donuts
Yeouido's The Hyundai Seoul is stacked with pop-ups this week — five brand experiences + a dessert lineup that's worth clustering into a single afternoon. The mall sits right above Yeouido Station (Exit 1), so you can walk straight up from the subway.
Here's what's actually running and where:
BRAND & EXPERIENCE POPS
- Dinodang Quokka Home Run (Sept 10–16, B2 POP-UP@CENTRAL, near Starbucks)
A baseball-themed collab with the cute quokka mascot. Walk-ins only, no queue on weekday afternoons. There's a free event where you draw a ball from a bin and get a gift (no purchase needed — the blogger got a postcard). The merch is genuinely practical: figurines and keychains, yes, but also card wallets, shopping baskets, umbrellas, and ticket holders. Mini charm sets come in white balls; one design is a limited Hyundai Seoul 5th-anniversary quokka.
- Hyundae Gimul Park Geulreut (Sept 3–16, B1 POP-UP ICONIC, next to Five Guys)
A pop-up from the cult ceramics wholesaler in Namdaemun. Domestic and imported bowls, plates, cups, chopsticks, forks — the variety is genuinely absorbing. Cute chopstick rests are a highlight. Low-pressure browsing; time evaporates.
- K-Heritage House (Sept 3–16, B1 POP-UP ICONIC, right next to the ceramics pop)
A stamp-card experience space. Three brands: Bajuyo (modern hanbok reinterpretation), Bunja by singer Choi Ja (omija liqueur), and Eloria (Korean-scent perfume). Collect stamps at each booth, turn them in at the exit for a gift bag: seaweed snacks (genuinely delicious), a keyring, and a fragrance sample. You can try the perfume and taste the liqueur on-site. The space itself is styled with Korean aesthetics.
- Yul Art by Korean Minhwa Museum (Sept 3–16, 1F GATE 3)
Official shop of the Joseon Minhwa Museum. You see original Joseon-era minhwa folding screens and minhwa media art, then browse ~200 minhwa-printed goods: wallets, bags, cushions, keyrings, hats, phone grips, passport cases. If you love Korean design, this is a slow-browse moment.

- The Beatles Seoul Edition (Sept 4–13, 5F Epic Seoul)
Member silhouettes on the window are visible from a distance. A photo zone recreates the famous Abbey Road crossing shot. Message wall next to it. Clothing, hats, and Beatles vinyl LPs for sale. Headphones + tablet setup lets you listen to the music. It's more of an experience space than a pure merch stand.

DESSERT & FOOD POPS
Amai Mochi Donut (through Sept 15, B1 Glass Dome)
Chewy mochi rings: red bean, injeolmi, green tea, or yakwa flavor. 4,500 won each; 16,000 won for a 4-pack. The texture is genuinely chewy; the blogger compared it to a softer, moister version of yakgwa.
Food Court Lineup (Sept 11–17, B1 Food Hall — all four vendors in one zone, easy to hit in sequence)
Jaiiso (traditional Korean rice cakes)
Mosi songpyeon, angko jeungpyeon, pumpkin injeolmi, walnut gotgam-wrapped. One pack runs 13,000 won; gotgam rolls are 29,000 won. The pumpkin injeolmi is the star — it sells out by early afternoon (around 1 PM on the blogger's visit). Staff restock around 3 PM. The mochi is chewy; the pumpkin flavor is subtle and sweet, balanced by the soft castella powder coating.

Got Deli (sandwiches & chocolate baguettes)
Visually striking. You can taste the jambon de beurre (the cultured butter spread) on-site. It's not salty, creamy, and works as a snack if you get peckish mid-mall.
Bungeo-ro 94 (fish-shaped pastries)
Mini bungeoppang: 13 pieces for 10,000 won in red bean, cream, or apple — mix and match or stick to one flavor. Larger versions (4,000 won each) come in kilo mochi, cream yakwa, pizza, and other experimental flavors.
Du Chonggak-ne Tteokgalbi (grilled marinated beef short ribs)
Cheese, spicy, shrimp, Korean beef varieties. 4,900 won per 100g. Eat on-site or take home as a side dish.
Practical notes: Each pop-up has its own running window (dates vary), and they're spread across B2, B1, and the 5th floor, so check what matters to you before heading over. The food vendors are all in one zone on Sept 11–17, making them easy to sample in one trip. Weekday afternoons have shorter queues than weekends.
