BOYNEXTDOOR's leader and LG catcher Lee Ju-heon went to the same middle and high school in Seongnam. That friendship sparked a collab.

LG Twins released a new official team cheering song on June 23 at 2 PM via YouTube and Instagram, made with K-pop group BOYNEXTDOOR.
The track reworks VIRAL, the title track from BOYNEXTDOOR's first full-length album HOME. The members rewrote the lyrics and created the cheering choreography. LG built the adaptation around VIRAL's core idea — a song spreading to more people — and reframed it as a wish for LG Twins' cheering to reach further through the stadium and to fans.
It all started with school. BOYNEXTDOOR leader Myung Jae-hyun (명재현) and LG catcher Lee Ju-heon (이주헌) both attended Seongnam Middle School and Seongnam High School. When LG won the Korean Series last year, Myung sent Lee a congratulatory message. That became the bridge to the collab.
Myung said: "As a fan of LG Twins, I check every game daily. I'm really happy and excited to hear our song VIRAL as the team's cheering song." He added he would "work harder and try to make BOYNEXTDOOR and LG Twins 'viral'."
BOYNEXTDOOR debuted in May 2023 as a six-member group. HOME sold over 1.08 million copies in its first week, their fourth consecutive million-seller after mini albums 19.99, No Genre, and The Action.
The club said the collaboration aimed to reach younger fan bases and bring fresh energy to Jamsil Stadium's cheering culture.
