Long Play Music confirmed June 12 that exclusive contracts with all Buzz members except vocalist Min Kyung-hoon have ended, effectively shelving full group activities.

Long Play Music announced June 12 via official Instagram that exclusive contracts with all Buzz members except vocalist Min Kyung-hoon have ended. The agency is now focused on supporting Min Kyung-hoon's solo work.
News leaked before the official statement dropped. Long Play Music apologized: "We sincerely apologize for causing great confusion and concern to fans by having related news announced through other channels before our official announcement."
Full group activities with all original members won't happen for now. Long Play Music said it will keep the Buzz name and catalog intact while "exploring various ways to continue the team's identity." What comes next remains under discussion internally.
Member Kim Ye-jun had already announced his exit on June 6, writing on Instagram: "This is unrelated to Buzz, please do not misunderstand. I am no longer a Buzz member."
Buzz debuted in October 2003 as a five-piece: Kim Ye-jun, Shin Jun-ki, Min Kyung-hoon, Yoon Woo-hyun, and Son Sung-hee. The band made its name with Monologue, Coward, Don't Know Men, Thorn, A Journey Away from Me, and Takeoff. They paused in 2007 when members enlisted, then reunited with the full lineup in 2014. Their last release was the single 소년에게 in April 2021.
(Twenty-three years after debut, four members are out and one name survives — that's the whole story for now.)
