China mega-hit 'River Lights' hits Channel China July 30 after 6M first-day views

강호야우십년등 (River Lights Over Ten Years) hit 6.05 million views on its first day in China and topped popularity charts in both Korea and Japan. Channel China picks it up July 30 at 10 PM.

The wuxia romance adapts a novel of the same name. Bao Shang'en (바오상언) and Zhou Yiran (저우이란) lead. Bao Shang'en built his following through 사조영웅전 2024 and 화조추월야. Zhou Yiran is known for 당아비분향니 and 교초.

Channel China is also reviving 어사소오작2: 황궁 검시관, premiering July 2 at 8:20 PM. The investigative drama's second season quadrupled its production budget from season 1. Su Xiaotong (쑤샤오퉁) and Wang Ziqi (왕쯔치) return in their original roles. (Two major Chinese dramas in one month on one channel.)
