Comedian Kwon Mi-jin's Father Passes Away at 64; Funeral Set for June 30

Kwon Du-hwan, father of comedian Kwon Mi-jin, passed away on June 28, 2026, at age 64.

The bereaved family reception has been arranged at Myeongpum Funeral Culture Center, 1st floor, Room 特1. The funeral procession is set for June 30 at 12:10 PM, with burial at Bongwha Mulya-myeon Gapyeong-ri ancestral grounds via Yeongju Crematorium.

Kwon Mi-jin debuted as a KBS 25th public recruitment comedian in 2010. She became widely known through the 헬스걸 (Health Girl) corner on KBS2's 개그콘서트, where she lost weight from 103 kg down to 58.5 kg. She also appeared in 미니시리즈 형제, 솔로천국 커플지옥, 봉숭아학당, and 뷰티스쿨.

She married Kim Chang-bae in August 2020. The couple have two daughters and one son.
