Emerald Castle's first release as a 4-member band drops June 13—an 8-bit rock track about past love and longing.

Emerald Castle are back. On June 13 at noon, the Korean rock band will release digital single SUMMER LOVE, their first musical output under the current four-member lineup.
Vocalist Jiwoo, bassist Kim Young-seok, and guitarists Lim Hyun-soo and Kim Sang-hwan all contributed to the overall production. This marks the first time the four have collaborated on a release together.
SUMMER LOVE is an 8-bit rock song built on a straight-ahead beat with a bright, refreshing sense of liberation. Lyrically it deals with memories and longing for a past love. The band describes it as carrying the lyrical-yet-explosive sensibility that has run through their work since their 1997 debut track 발걸음 (Footsteps).
(A band with a 1997 debut still writing their own material in 2026 is not nothing.)
The group said they plan to "continue a new musical journey based on the chemistry of members who have been together for a long time" and will "actively engage with the public centered on our 4-member lineup."
