Hong Ui-jin, 30, debuted with girl group Sonamu in 2015. On June 12, she announced her engagement on Instagram after her Japanese boyfriend proposed in Hokkaido.

Hong Ui-jin (홍의진), 30, known by her stage name Ui-jin from girl group Sonamu, announced on June 12 via Instagram that her Japanese boyfriend proposed to her in Hokkaido, Japan.
"I thought there would be no proposal or marriage event in my life," she wrote, adding: "Who would have known I'd receive it in Japan, in Japanese."
Ui-jin debuted in 2015 as a member of Sonamu. She later joined Unity, a project girl group formed through the KBS 2TV audition program The Unit, alongside members Lee Su-ji and Baek Ye-bin. In 2022 she changed her stage name to Hezz for solo activities. She currently performs in a band in Japan under the name Rua (루아). For some time, she's been sharing daily life with her boyfriend through a couple account.
Both Lee Su-ji and Baek Ye-bin left congratulatory comments on the post. Baek Ye-bin wrote "I'm already crying," to which Ui-jin replied "It's still far away" — keeping expectations measured even mid-celebration.
