Gong Hyo-jin plays a killer mom in MBC's 'Married Woman Killer', premiering July 31

Gong Hyo-jin is back on primetime. MBC's new Friday-Saturday drama Married Woman Killer (유부녀 킬러) premieres July 31 at 9:50 PM, adapted from the popular Kakao Webtoon and running for 14 episodes.

She plays Yu Bo-na. By day, department head of Durumi Electronics Sales Team 3. By night, a legendary sniper codenamed Kingfisher. She returned to work after three years of parental leave and goes home each evening to a husband and daughter who have no idea what she does. The drama frames itself as a work-life balance story about a working mom with the world's most dangerous job, promising tension and laughs as ordinary domestic life collides with extraordinary missions.

The first poster dropped on June 26 with the tagline "제가 좀 죽여요" — a double-meaning phrase that translates roughly as "I'm quite deadly" but also reads as "I kill it" in the hustle sense. (The wordplay is doing a lot of heavy lifting and it works.)

The production team said the poster was designed to show Yu Bo-na's double life through the contrast between the everyday and the non-everyday. "Her struggle to protect her beloved family while holding a gun will deliver thrilling fun and warm comfort."

Screenplay is by Kim Eun-hee (김은희). Direction comes from Yoon Jong-ho and Kim Ji-hoon. Production companies are Bon Factory, Baram Pictures, and Studio Fim.
