Gong Myung stars in Netflix's 'Husbands' alongside Jin Seon-kyu—their first project together in seven years—and is already lined up for MBC's 'Your Ground' with Han Hyo-joo.

Gong Myung's Netflix comedy-action film Husbands dropped June 19. He's already got his next gig locked.
The movie pairs an ex-husband and a current husband forced to work together after a crime organization kidnaps their shared wife. Gong Myung plays Min-seok, a veterinarian who runs an animal clinic in Cheongdam-dong. Outwardly gentle. Quietly unhinged. Apparently excellent at drifting.
Working with Jin Seon-kyu again was the real draw. "The director might feel a little hurt, but Jin Seon-kyu's share in my decision was about 80%," Gong Myung said. They last worked together on Extreme Job—that was seven years ago. He admitted to pre-release jitters, but laughing through shoots with Jin Seon-kyu has kept him steady since.
This film caps off a relentless stretch. Last year: One Week Before I Die, Please Stop Drinking, The Square, Confession History. This year: Secret Gratitude and now Husbands. Six projects in a row. (Post-military discharge, he made himself a promise: keep working. He's living it.)
"To grow as an actor, you have to try slightly different characters one by one," he said.
MBC's Your Ground is next. He'll play a baseball player opposite Han Hyo-joo.
