Han Da-gam, 47, preps for September baby as entertainment's oldest first-time mom

Han Da-gam (한다감), born in 1980, is 47 years old this year and due to give birth in September. She's widely recognized as the oldest first-time mother in the Korean entertainment industry. Her husband is a non-celebrity one year her senior. They conceived after a single in vitro fertilization procedure.

On June 15 she walked into a baby products store to look at cribs and posted about it online. "Wow, where does baby care products end? There are so many?" she wrote. In another post: "I'm still a beginner, so I don't understand anything. It's a completely new world! Someone to help decorate the baby room — it's so difficult."

The baby's sex came out on a variety show. It's a boy. Her father claimed he'd predicted it. "I had a dream with a snake, so I thought it would be a son," he said. (This is the same father who hand-lit 100 blue lanterns at her wedding to wish her happiness.)

Beyond what she's shared on air and social media, Han Da-gam and her husband have not publicly commented on the IVF journey.
