iKON's Kim Jin-hwan and ATEEZ's Mingi: solo runs, group returns, and schedules abroad

iKON's Kim Jin-hwan (김진환), 31, and ATEEZ's Mingi (민기, Song Min-gi), 26, have carved out space for solo work while their groups regroup.

Kim Jin-hwan sings and dances for iKON, a six-member group that also includes Song Yun-hyung, BOBBY, Kim Dong-hyuk, Gu Jun-hoe, and Jung Chan-woo. His solo releases include the digital single PARADISE, the EP BLUE MOON, and his debut album 207 in 2025. In February, he wrapped JAY 207 FINAL TOUR IN SEOUL at Seoul Shinhan Card SOL Pay Square Live Hall. He's also taken on the role of Dimitru in the musical Dracula in Seoul.

iKON announced iKON FOUREVER TOUR at Seoul Jangchung Gymnasium in March—their first full-group fan concert in roughly two years, after the members finished military service. Kim Jin-hwan addressed the crowd in Chinese: "很开心见到大家 希望很快再见" ("I am very happy to see you all, I hope to see you again soon").

Mingi raps and dances for ATEEZ, an eight-member group with Hongjoong, Seonghwa, Yunho, Yeosang, San, Mingi, Wooyoung, and Jongho. His solo work has been steady. He featured on rapper Mirani's Hit Me Up in 2024, dropped ROAR (민기) on ATEEZ's GOLDEN HOUR : Part.3 'In Your Fantasy Edition' in 2025, and released the EP FIX OFF Desire Project 1 on September 26, 2025. He also contributed OST tracks—Waiting For You for 마지막 썸머 and Me Crazy & Your Journey for 씰룩(SEALOOK)2. A self-composed track 무제 landed on ATEEZ's official channel. Mingi performed as main rapper during ATEEZ's roughly 40-minute Coachella set in 2024. He popped up on MBC's 전지적 참견 시점 episode 318 that same year. In 2025, he appeared on 효연의 레벨업 Hyo's Level Up – 밥사효2 EP.05 and on 비빔팝(BIBIM-POP) EP.14-1 and EP.14-2 with Jay Park (박재범). He left Gimpo International Airport for Tokyo on May 14, then departed Incheon International Airport for Singapore on June 4.
