Jung Juri, the 'mother of five brothers,' revealed she lost her left ovary in her early twenties and had her first child before marriage despite doctors saying pregnancy would be nearly impossible.

Jung Juri, known to fans as the "mother of five brothers," disclosed on Sokpuri Show Dongchimi that doctors told her twice she would struggle to conceive — and that her first child arrived before her wedding.
A preview clip uploaded to MBN's official YouTube channel on June 24 showed Jung explaining that she had surgery in her early twenties to remove a cyst on her ovary. "I don't have my left ovary," she said. "The hospital told me then that pregnancy would be difficult." She and her husband, a non-celebrity one year her junior whom she married in 2015, had already discussed adoption as a backup plan while they were still dating.
Her first son was born the same year as the wedding. "When marriage talk came up, my mind became at ease, and that's when I became pregnant," she said. "We were careful, but I became pregnant."
The second pregnancy hit another snag. Polycystic ovary syndrome had worsened, and her doctor again flagged low odds of conception. A routine checkup the following month revealed a gestational sac. "The doctor was very surprised too," she recalled.
Sons three, four, and five followed in 2019, 2022, and 2024. "It wasn't an easy environment to have children," she said, "but each time a child was born, I was so grateful. Isn't that a blessing?"
(Five boys, two medical warnings, zero IVF mentions — the math is genuinely wild.)
