Kim Ji-seok plays a drug cartel boss in Netflix's 'Namphyeondeur', released June 19, while girlfriend Lee Ju-myung leads a rising JTBC series.

Kim Ji-seok and Lee Ju-myung are both having a moment — at the same time.
Netflix's comic action film 남편들 (Namphyeondeur), directed by Park Gyu-tae, dropped on June 19. Kim Ji-seok plays Ma Do-jun, the head of a new drug organization. It's a sharp departure from the gentler characters he built his reputation on across dramas like 동백꽃 필 무렵, 가족입니다, 월간 집, 키스 식스 센스, and 신병2.
The film follows ex-husband Chung-sik (Jin Sun-gyul) and current husband Min-seok (Gong Myung), who reluctantly team up to rescue Hye-ran (Lee Da-hee) after she's kidnapped by a crime organization. Kim Ji-seok's Ma Do-jun is the villain they face.
Meanwhile, his girlfriend Lee Ju-myung — 12 years his junior, with the couple officially confirming their relationship in 2024 — is currently starring in JTBC's 신입사원 강회장. The series has been climbing in viewership.
Kim Ji-seok isn't slowing down after Namphyeondeur. He has confirmed a role in the JTBC drama 연애의 재발견, set to air in the second half of the year. Two leads, two rising projects — the industry's most on-schedule couple right now.
