Kim Moon-gi wrapped the Tving drama *Legendary Mess Cook* on June 16, calling his role and an unexpected M Countdown stage appearance career highlights.

Kim Moon-gi wrapped Legendary Mess Cook (취사병 전설이 되다) with a statement through Golden Moon Entertainment after the Tving original ended on June 16.
He played Private First Class Pyo Ji-yong across the run. The military cook drama, based on a webtoon of the same name, follows Private Kang Seong-jae (Park Ji-hoon) as he rises to legendary status in the unit kitchen. An imaginary sequence inside the drama introduced the fictional idol group Migakboys (미각보이즈), with Kim taking on the member name Jjanmat Jiyong (짠맛지용). The group's lineup also included characters played by Kang Ha-gyeong, Lee Sang-jun, Lim Ji-ho, Kang Jun-gyu, and Lee Sang-i.
Then it got weird. Migakboys made a special appearance on Mnet's M Countdown on June 11. (A fictional idol group doing a real music show stage is exactly the kind of bit that lives rent-free.)
"Meeting the role of Pyo Ji-yong was truly great luck," Kim said, "and I was able to have the unique experience of standing on a music broadcast stage thanks to everyone's love and interest — every moment was enjoyable." He closed with the military sign-off: "Loyalty!"
Lee Sang-i, who played Captain Hwang Seok-ho as a special appearance that gradually expanded into a full run, also reflected on the show. The production team gave him a personal shout-out in the June 16 ending credits: "We especially thank actor Lee Sang-i for the special appearance." He called the M Countdown stage "a wonderful memory I never dreamed of in my lifetime." Lee Sang-i next appears in MBC's Friday-Saturday drama Married Woman Killer (유부녀 킬러), set to premiere in July, where he plays Violent Crimes Unit 2 detective Lee Dong-jin.
