Kim Su-chan premieres new trot song 'Namjada' on MBC ON Trot Champion, first release in ~2 years

Kim Su-chan performed his new trot song 남자다 for the first time on MBC ON 트롯챔피언, which aired live on June 11. The track is his first release since 마중물 사랑, roughly two years ago.

He debuted in 2012 with 오디션. Early recognition came through 가요무대 appearances starting in 2013, and he picked up the nickname "꽃미남 남진" after his turn on 히든싱어2's Nam Jin edition that same year. His 2020 mini-album 수찬노래방 — title track 엉덩이 — dropped the same year he placed in the top 10 on 내일은 미스터트롯. He completed his social service obligation in 2023 and has since cycled through variety programs: 살림하는 남자들 (2023), 강심장 VS, 박원숙의 같이 삽시다, and 미스쓰리랑 (2024). He's currently a fixed cast member on 샅바전쟁 17대1.

The June 11 episode also crowned the show's monthly champion. Defending champion Kim Yong-bin — winner of the previous month — competed for back-to-back wins with 어제도 너였고 오늘도 너여서. Bin Ye-seo returned to the candidate lineup after roughly eight months, performing 미모사. Seong-ri, who won the competition program 무명전설, performed 알랑가 모르겠어 and an additional stage of 오늘 이 밤.

Kim Da-hyun also appeared with Good Shot!, Jung Da-han with 세월을 잡아라, and Ryu Won-jung with 이미. The full cast ran 14 artists, including Miss Kim, Park Gun, Enoch, Yu Ji-woo, Jae-ha, Jo Jung-min, Choi Jae-myung, and Ha Dong-geun.
