Lee Ha-nui shares beauty routine as 'Upstairs People' crosses 500K viewers

Lee Ha-nui, 42, is having a busy stretch. Her film Upstairs People (윗집 사람들), in which she plays Su-gyeong, has crossed 500,000 admissions and is holding a top position at the Korean box office. The film opened December 3, 2025. On the 26th she posted about her current skincare routine: "These days, my morning and evening routine for skin fasting is Lavian D.N.A. Essence."

The box office run comes after a strong recent drama. Her lead role as Jo Yeo-hwa in the MBC Friday-Saturday series Bam-e Pineun Kkot (밤에 피는 꽃) closed with an 18.4% final-episode rating, the highest ever recorded for an MBC Friday-Saturday drama. Before that, she played detective Jang Yeon-su in Extreme Job (극한직업), which surpassed 10 million admissions.

Two Netflix projects are lined up. Aema (애마), where she plays Jung Hee-ran, is awaiting release. Slowly Intensely (천천히 강렬하게) has her cast as Yang Ja. She also took on multiple roles in King of Kings (킹 오브 킹스)—Catherine Dickens, Mary, and an angel. Add her role as Park Kyung-seon in SBS's Passionate Priest 2 (열혈사제2) and Min Gae-in across both Alienoid films.

A day before the skincare post, she uploaded a photo from an indoor practice space, holding a microphone in front of sheet music with a piano visible behind her. She is a Korean traditional music major who plays gayageum and janggu, performs traditional dance, and performs with Irang (이랑), a family ensemble she helped form. (The range really does not stop.)

Lee Ha-nui won Miss Korea Seoul and the 50th Miss Korea title in 2006. She placed 4th at Miss Universe in 2007 and took 1st at Miss Grand Slam in 2008. She married in 2021, welcomed her first daughter Jang A-ri on June 20, 2022, and gave birth to a second daughter on August 24, 2025.
