Lee Seung-chul reveals why he wears sunglasses on stage in ENA's 'The Scout' episode 6

Lee Seung-chul finally explained the sunglasses. On episode 6 of ENA's music project THE SCOUT: 다시 태어나는 별, the master told contestants why he performs with shades on: "Actually, when I get immersed, I close my eyes tightly." He made the admission mid-session as he and three fellow masters—Kim Jaejoong, Wendy, and Day6's Young K—reviewed the 16 remaining muses ahead of the semi-final new song stage.

The feedback stung. Lee Seung-chul went through each main-round performance one by one, picking apart facial expressions, movement, gestures, and immersion level. "The motion is poor." "You look ugly when singing." For Kim Yeon-gyu: "It was perfect." For Lee San: "It was a mess." To Jo Yun-chan he said, "popular music is consideration." To Choi Ha-ram: "Your eyes are good." He also called this period "an important time to meet your signature song."

Kim Jaejoong was just as direct. He told Jo Yun-chan, "if you sing like this, it's a disgrace to rockers," though he still told the group he believed they could show better. Young K singled out Choi Ha-ram's assigned track as "the best song out of 50" and pushed each muse toward interpretations that matched their individual tone. Wendy described Park Min-seok as "a person with brightness, pain, and strength together" and urged all participants to perform song messages as if drawn from personal experience.

Choo Sung-hoon ran a physical training session designed to build stage stamina and confidence. The work also covered posture correction and image making.

The 16 muses filmed a music video together for the official theme song 소리쳐 다시 태어나는 별.

In the second-round fan vote, Lee San held first place for the fifth consecutive week with 23.29% of the vote. Jo Yong-hwan and Kim Yu-shin are the closest challengers.

The semi-final stage airs June 19 at 8 PM on episode 7 of The Scout.
