South Korea's Saemangeum Development Authority debuted AI virtual trio MANGEUM BOYZ on June 18, positioning the group as a long-term digital brand for government promotion.

South Korea's Saemangeum Development Authority launched AI-based virtual idol group MANGEUM BOYZ on June 18, 2026, uploading the music video for debut single Saemangeum Reset to its official YouTube channel.
The trio breaks down like this: main vocalist Shinsi symbolizes Saemangeum's vision and hope. Performance vocalist Garyeok represents the spirit of challenge and innovation. Main rapper Yami embodies dynamism and driving force. Three members, three concepts built for a government promo project.
The authority isn't treating MANGEUM BOYZ as a one-off stunt. Future music is planned across policy topics including industry, tourism, culture, and investment attraction, with all tracks released as open public content. The group will also expand into short-form content, web content, offline events, and exhibition-linked programs.
Director Moon Seong-yo said: "I am pleased to communicate Saemangeum's vibrant future vision as a center of advanced industry in diverse ways through MANGEUM BOYZ." He added that the authority would "continue to present customized digital content that approaches the public and businesses more familiarly."
