Miakak Boys to perform at 5th Blue Dragon Series Awards on July 31

Miakak Boys — the five-member project group born out of Tving original series 취사병 전설이 되다 (The Legend of the Mess Sergeant) — will perform at the 5th Blue Dragon Series Awards on July 31 at Paradise City in Incheon, broadcast live on KBS2 at 8:30 PM.

The group came together in episode 6, which aired May 26. Captain 황석호 (played by Lee Sang-i) reacted to mess sergeant 강성재 (played by Park Ji-hoon)'s arancini rice ball by comparing the taste to an idol music video. Each member carries a flavor role: 강하경 is "bitter," 이상준 "spicy," 임지호 "sweet," 강준규 "sour," and 김문기 "salty." Their in-series track My Flavor is an upbeat dance song designed to stimulate all five tastes visually and aurally. It dropped as an official release on May 27 and got performed on Mnet's M Countdown on June 11.
