Miss Kim joins Kim Na-hee on Immortal Songs ep. 761 for Trot Best Friends special

Miss Kim—real name Kim Chae-rin, 24—appears on Immortal Songs for the first time June 20, joining Kim Na-hee for KBS 2TV episode 761's 'Trot Best Friends King Competition' special.

They're performing Lim Hee-sook's Nae Hana-ui Sarameun Gago ('My One Person Goes'). Miss Kim posted ahead of the broadcast: "My first time on Immortal Songs with sister Nae-hee. We prepared this stage hard together."

The special spans two episodes. Part 1 airs June 20, part 2 on June 27. The winning team advances to the 2026 first-half King of Kings competition. Nine other teams compete: Kim Yong-bin, Son Bin-a, and Chu Hyuk-jin. Hwan-hee and Choi Soo-ho. Shin Seung-tae and Kim Jun-soo. Han Hye-jin and Park Hyun-ho. Cheon Rok-dam and Chun-gil. Jung Geun-woo, Park Gu-yun, and Kim Soo-chan. Lee So-na and Hong Seong-yun. Jo Hye-ryeon and Shin Seong. Kim Beom-ryong and Jin Simon.

MC Lee Chan-won called the lineup "really like meeting a holiday" and said "there are many strong competitors in today's competition." Immortal Songs has aired over 700 episodes on KBS 2TV and airs every Saturday at 6:05 PM. Shin Dong-yeop handles on-site MC duties while Kim Jun-hyun and Lee Chan-won anchor the studio.

Miss Kim is from Hwangsan-myeon, Haenam-gun, Jeollanam-do and balances trot with agricultural work. She placed 4th in TV Chosun's Miss Trot 3, released the album Hongsil on February 29, 2024, and dropped three tracks—Doel Nom, Miss Kim, and Joasseoseo—on March 13, 2025. Her 2025 track Doel Nom has since become a regular pick at events and broadcast stages. Before that, she won an excellence award at the 2023 National Song Show Haenam edition performing 'Yongdusan Elegy' and 'Nostalgic Soya Song.'
