Nitmolcash leads Gyeonggi Provincial Council web drama 'The Councilmember Is Live'

Creator-actor Nitmolcash (real name Cha Cheong-il) plays Jeong Ui-yeol in 의원님은 라이브 중 (The Councilmember Is Live), a web drama produced by the Gyeonggi Provincial Council and premiering in September on the council's official YouTube channel.

Ui-yeol is a former trot singer turned provincial assembly member who connects with constituents through live broadcasts. Script reading happened June 17 at the Gyeonggi Provincial Assembly. Filming starts the 26th.

The supporting cast brings together veteran actor Kim Myeong-guk as Na Dae-ro, newcomer Jung Chae-won as Lee Se-jin, and actors Kang In-muk, Lee Hyeon-a, and Lee Su-a. All were selected through open auditions. Go Hye-rin directs.

Beyond the main episodes, the production will release short-form content built around key scenes and reinterpreted characters. Behind-the-scenes footage rolls out on the official Instagram account (@ggd_assembly_webdrama).
