tvN's Pachinko airs its seventh episode on June 27, set in 1923 Yokohama as the Great Kanto Earthquake reshapes Han-su's path to America.

tvN's Pachinko Episode 7 aired June 27, dropping viewers into Yokohama, Japan in 1923.
The episode centers on a younger Han-su. Pure-faced. Sharp enough to tutor an American student, fluent in English. The student's family offers him a chance: come to America with them. Then an unexpected incident derails everything, blocking both Han-su and his father before they can leave.
The Great Kanto Earthquake frames the whole thing. The episode confronts the false rumors that spread about Koreans at the time and the brutal history that followed. (This is the kind of historical reckoning Pachinko has been building toward all season.)
Season 1 runs eight episodes total. Directors Kogonada and Justin Chon each helmed four.
