3 reverse-charting hits in Korea right now: Ricenne, Choi Ye-na, Ha Ji-won

Three songs are moving up Korean charts right now — none of them new releases.

Ricenne — Love Attack

Ricenne's Love Attack hit No. 5 on the Melon Top 100 as of June 2026, roughly two years after its original release. Last month, the group landed a promotional ambassador role for Geoje City. An exchange between members Won and Minami went viral: Won warned that Geoje citizens would scold Minami for her outfit. Minami's response was immediate. "Geoje Yahoo!"

Choi Ye-na — Catch Catch (ft. Lee Jun)

Catch Catch arrived in March 2026. By May, it had climbed to No. 8 on the Melon Top 100, making Choi Ye-na the first solo artist to enter the Top 10 on the 2026 Melon chart. The song's reach in China has been significant. Its music video passed 5.17 million views on Bilibili, ranking No. 1 among K-pop songs on that platform in 2026. On QQ Music's weekly Korean chart, the Korean version ranked 6th and the Chinese version ranked 3rd. A Douyin challenge has accumulated over 900 million cumulative views.

Featured artist Lee Jun discussed the collaboration on tvN's You Quiz on the Block: "I heard thanks from Yena, but I'm always careful not to overdo it in case it becomes rude."

Ha Ji-won — Home Run

Actor Ha Ji-won performed Home Run — originally released in 2003 — on MBC's Show! Music Core on the 30th of last month. Her first music broadcast appearance in 23 years. The performance came after she pledged in the web variety show 26학번 지원이요 (released April 2026) to reprise the stage if the show's video exceeded 1.2 million views. Cast members Gi An-84 and Kang Nam had been pushing for it, calling the Home Run stage "something that should be performed again someday."

The performance video has since passed 3 million views. Ha Ji-won said afterward: "I never imagined the public would like it this much. I sincerely thank you for the excessive interest and love."
