Ryeowook released his first physical single in over 4 years on June 23, marking a decade since his solo debut with the pop-rock title track 'Runaway'.

Super Junior's Ryeowook dropped Runaway on June 23, 2026. Ten years had passed since his first solo album in 2016.
The three-track physical single is his first in two years and six months, following the December 2023 digital single 아침에. His last physical release was the mini album A Wild Rose, roughly four years and one month prior.
Runaway is a pop-rock track that blends refreshing energy with wistful sentiment. The song carries a message that it's okay to take a breath and move forward at your own pace through a tiring daily life. A music video set in an outdoor field dropped simultaneously on his official video channel. Defined, the second track, is a piano-based pop ballad about realizing the true meaning of love when facing someone as they truly are. The third track, Chamomile, is an acoustic R&B song that compares the moment a tired heart is healed by a loved one's warmth at the end of the day to a warm cup of tea.
"I'm confident in the completeness of the jacket and music video," Ryeowook said. "I hope you'll love them and spend this summer with me."
For the summer concept, he bleached his hair for the first time in a while. He spent considerable time revising lyrics and vocal technique before re-recording.
Ryeowook held an online countdown live on his official channel one hour before the release. He performed Runaway on Mnet M Countdown on June 25, MBC Show! Music Core on June 27, and SBS Inkigayo on June 28.
