Takuya Kimura plays Korea for the first time in 38 years on Sept. 26. Tickets went on sale June 29.

Takuya Kimura (54) will perform in Korea for the first time in his 38-year entertainment career. TAKUYA KIMURA Live Tour 2026 Checkpoint in Seoul is set for Saturday, September 26 at Inspire Arena on Yeongjongdo island.
Ticket sales opened June 29 at 7 PM through NOL and NOL World. VIP seats and limited tour packages that include hotel accommodation are available separately through JTB Entertainment.
The Seoul date is part of the Checkpoint tour, which begins in September following the release of Kimura's solo fourth album Checkpoint on August 12.
Stage images released on June 25 showed a protruding runway extending into the first-floor seating area, designed to give clear sightlines from every seat in the venue.
Kimura first became known to Korean audiences in 2000 as a Levi's model. He later visited Busan to film the movie HERO, during which he built a friendship with Lee Byung-hun, who made a special appearance in the film. A 2018 visit for a game promotion was his most recent trip to Korea before this concert.
Outside of touring, he has hosted the Tokyo FM radio show Takuya Kimura Flow every Sunday morning for eight consecutive years. Since 2024, he's been active on a personal YouTube channel with over 2.34 million subscribers.
