Tang Wei heads to Hong Kong ahead of second birth, mirroring 2016 delivery

Tang Wei and her husband, director Kim Tae-yong, were spotted together at Beijing Capital International Airport as the actress approaches her second delivery. The couple is headed to Hong Kong — the same city where Tang Wei gave birth to their first daughter, Summer, in 2016.

When a fan asked when she would return, Tang Wei said simply, "I'm not sure."

Hong Kong over Korea seems intentional. Tang Wei previously joked about the reasoning: "It would be difficult if we can't communicate like chickens and ducks" — a reference to the language barrier she'd face delivering in Korea. (The line landed then and it still lands now.)

Tang Wei and Kim Tae-yong met on the set of the film Manchu and married in 2014. She is expected to step back from work for a period to focus on childcare before reviewing her next projects.
