Super Junior's Yesung posted June 27 that he's spending the summer on recovery and a new album—his first solo project since the mini-album *It's Complicated* last November.

Super Junior's Yesung (Kim Kang-hoon, 41) announced a new album on June 27. "This summer, I'm focusing on nothing but recovery and the album," he wrote. It's his first solo project since It's Complicated, the sixth mini-album he released in November 2024.
His solo output started in 2016 with Here I am. Spring Falling followed in 2017, then Pink Magic (2019) and Beautiful Night (2021). In 2023 alone he released his first full-length Sensory Flows, the special album Floral Sense, and mini-album five Unfading Sense.
Yesung joined Super Junior with the group's debut album Super Junior05 in 2005. He placed second on the mobile chart in 2010 with "너 아니면 안 돼," an OST for the drama Cinderella Unni. On television, he won the Bukhwal (부활) edition of KBS2's Immortal Songs in 2011 performing "사랑할수록," then reached runner-up on MBC's King of Mask Singer in 2016. His most recent award came at the 19th KKBOX Music Awards in 2024, where he took Artist of the Year.
He's also acted. Film debut in 2007 with Flower Boy Serial Terrorist Incident. A role as Yong-un in the Japanese film My Korean Teacher. The drama Punch (황준철, 2015), OCN's Voice (순경 오현호, 2017), and detective Ko Yu-seok in the 2022 film Girl on a Bulldozer.
No release date for the new album has been announced.
