Yu Kkaennip confirms breakup with boyfriend who proposed but refused to accept her child

Yu Kkaennip has confirmed she broke up with a boyfriend who proposed marriage but would not accept her child.

The creator and TV personality married fellow content creator Choi Gogi in 2016 and divorced in 2020. She disclosed the split during a June 19 "Ask Me Anything" Q&A on social media. "The conclusion is that I broke up with that person," she said.

She described how a past partner was uncomfortable meeting her child, clarifying the person was not her current boyfriend. "I'm fine with being divorced, but my child is uncomfortable," she said. "How does it make sense that [they] said [they'd] marry me but won't accept my child?"

Yu Kkaennip and Choi Gogi drew public attention after their divorce by appearing together on the TV Chosun variety program Uri Ihonhaesseoyo (We Got Divorced). Both later appeared on X-ui Sasaenghwal (X's Private Life), where each introduced a new partner — Choi Gogi presented his partner Lee Jueun, while Yu Kkaennip confirmed she was seeing someone new. (The boyfriend she just broke up with appears to be a separate figure from the one shown on that program.)

Yu Kkaennip did not name the ex-partner or provide a timeline for the relationship.
