2nd iMBC Awards set for July 29 — 8 categories, 100% fan vote on Idol Champ
The 2nd iMBC Awards lands July 29. Voting on Idol Champ runs July 29 through August 9.
July 29 brings the 2nd iMBC Awards, hosted and organized by iMBC Entertainment and MBC PLUS.
Eight categories this year: Best Male Singer, Best Female Singer, Best Male Actor, Best Female Actor, Best Global Star, Best Rookie Singer, Best Rookie Actor, and iMBC Pick Best Cut. All winners decided by fan vote alone—no jury.
Voting opens July 29 at 10:00 AM on the mobile fandom app Idol Champ and closes August 9 at 11:59:59 PM. The organizers warned that traffic spikes near deadline could cause temporary service instability. Vote early, they said, not at the last minute.
Best Male Singer and Best Female Singer go to K-pop acts with strong domestic and international support throughout the year. Best Male Actor and Best Female Actor span drama, film, and OTT platforms. Best Global Star honors overseas artists with overwhelming global fan backing. The two rookie categories spotlight emerging singers and actors. iMBC Pick Best Cut selects standout moments—stage performances, drama scenes, photo shoots, everyday glimpses—that resonated most with fans.
Winners get a special article, a trophy, and a special interview video (or a special planning video if the artist's schedule requires it).
Last year's inaugural iMBC Awards drew heavy global fan participation. Past winners included Super Junior, BTS's V, Cha Eun-woo, Kim Ji-won, UAU, and G-Dragon.
