The JYP global boy group releases their first mini album in China on August 4, roughly a year after their 2025 TIMA debut.

뻔푸소년CIIU (Bbunpusoyon CIIU) is back in China on August 4 with Closer To 'You' (靠近·你), their first mini album. Closer leads the project.
Pre-release content started July 8 with album posters and a concept film. B-side 一步一步 (Step By Step) arrived July 14 with audio and music video.
The push extends beyond streaming. 뻔푸소년CIIU signed on as an advertising model for Xinyi Electric Bicycle, a major Chinese e-bike brand. They're also working with theme park brand Fangte (方特) on a promotion pairing live performances with fan experiences. On August 22, the group performs at the 2026 TIMA (TMELive International Music Awards), one of the biggest music awards events in the Chinese-speaking market.
The group debuted at 2025 TIMA in August 2025 with Summer of Departure (출발의 여름). That track hit the top 10 on both QQ Music's daily popularity chart and daily trending chart—QQ Music is China's largest music platform. A first mini album in under 12 months is fast, but the promotional machinery they've assembled here is substantial.
