Singer-songwriter BESWEET releases new single VOID (working title: Run and Hit) on July 30 across music platforms.
BESWEET wrote and composed the track. The arrangement pulled in Heo Ye-gwon on guitar, Lim Chae-jung on bass, and Lee Jae-wook on drums. Ahn Jun-hyuk recorded at Titan Recording Studio. Oh Hyung-seok handled mixing, also at Titan. Kwon Nam-woo of 821 Sound mastered it.
Lyrically, VOID stacks two contrasting emotional phrases against each other: "Black dark night Sunday" and "Sweet star night Thursday." They repeat throughout the song, capturing the tension between a brilliant youth and the emptiness that follows it.
The working title Run and Hit got swapped out, but the live-band production credits suggest the energy carried over. BESWEET's full creative ownership of the writing and composition, paired with a four-person arrangement team, makes this one of the more production-dense single releases in the artist's catalog.
