BIGC's new Blip Support service launches with BOYNEXTDOOR, Lisenne May, and Super Junior's Yesung, letting fans pool in-app gems to fund real-world offline ads.

BOYNEXTDOOR, Lisenne May, and Super Junior's Yesung are the first artists featured in Blip Support, a new fan participation service from K-pop schedule app Blip. Events for all three kicked off July 3 at 4 PM.
Blip Support launched on the 26th. Fans collect "Blip Gem" and "Royal Gem" currency through the Blip app or web, then direct those resources toward a chosen artist's support project. When a project hits its target, the accumulated funds convert into actual offline advertising—subway placements, outdoor digital billboards, the works.
BIGC operates Blip and describes itself as the world's first "All-in-one Digital Venue" platform connecting global fans and artists. The company recently acquired both Blip and data analysis platform Kpop Radar.
(Three very different fanbases, one new tool—worth watching how each community mobilizes.)
