'Red Red' hit 70 daily chart-toppers on July 12. Cortis launches their first world tour 'PUT YOUR PHONE DOWN' on July 18.

Red Red reached its 70th number one on the Korean Spotify daily chart on July 12 — the most chart-toppers recorded by a single K-pop group song.
Cortis (Martin, James, Juhun, Sunghyun, Gunho) open their first world tour, titled PUT YOUR PHONE DOWN, at Incheon Inspire Arena on July 18 and 19. The five-member group is signed to Big Hit Music under HYBE and debuted on August 18 last year.
Their catalog includes EP 1 Color Outside the Lines, EP 2 Green Green, and tracks Red Red and Acai. The group has held positions on the US Billboard 200 for nine consecutive weeks.
The tour hits Toronto, New York, Atlanta, Irving, Los Angeles, and San Francisco before returning to Seoul, wrapping in Kanagawa, Japan in early September. They'll also perform at Lollapalooza Chicago during the run. (Big Hit Music signed Martin and James five to seven years before debut, which explains the unusually polished creative credits from the start.)
Martin co-wrote ILLIT's "Magnetic," and James proposed key choreography ideas for the same track. Last month the group attended a Dior fashion show in Paris.
Music critic Cho Hye-rim called the chart run "unprecedented," adding that Cortis "absorbing overseas trends without time lag and succeeding both domestically and internationally has increased incentives for other agencies to attempt experimentation rather than safe choices." Critic Kim Do-heon said the group's ability to fully digest a creator concept — however planned — "itself demonstrates their ability" and could give K-pop "an opportunity to shed the perception of being 'factory-made' and create a new model."
