DAWN returns after ~3 years with alternative R&B single 'Too Much', out August 7

DAWN is back. The alternative R&B single Too Much arrives August 7, ending a roughly three-year gap since his second EP Narcissus dropped in September 2023.

He announced the release on July 30 via Instagram, posting two concept photos. Black-and-white styling. A classic atmosphere. Another person in frame. Enough to get people wondering what the track's story might be.

The hiatus wasn't silent. DAWN worked as a music video director, photographer, and creator—stretching both his musical and artistic range. His discography runs from the 2019 debut single MONEY through EPs Dundirideun and Narcissus, plus singles Stupid Cool and Bichin Naneun Neoege (빛이 나는 너에게). Too Much is next.

He also appeared on MBC's I Live Alone (나 혼자 산다) recently, sharing daily life and expressing interest in Korean intangible cultural heritage. Viewers responded well to that side of him.

His agency flagged attention on "what new sound and message DAWN will convey" as he returns to music and "solidifies his distinctive personality and musicality." Three years of directing and shooting will do something to a person's ear.

Too Much releases August 7 across domestic and international online music platforms.
