Gong Hyo-jin in talks for Yoo Jae-seok's next short-form drama as she preps MBC series 'Married Woman Killer'

On the July 25 episode of MBC variety show Nol-myeon Mwohani? (ep. 339), Yoo Jae-seok previewed a follow-up to his short-form drama directorial debut, Dongsaengi Humchin Nae Yeojareul Dasi Ppaetgiro Haessda (abbreviated Donghumnaeyo Daeppae). He reached out to Gong Hyo-jin for the lead role. Her response: "Is Inok appearing again?" — a pointed reference to the previous work's female lead, Heo In-ok (played by Heo Kyung-hwan).
Whether she signs on remains unclear. What's certain: Gong Hyo-jin is already booked. She premieres July 31 on MBC's new Friday-Saturday drama Yubunnyeo Killer (Married Woman Killer), adapted from a webtoon. She plays Yu Bo-na, department head of Duri Electronics Sales Team 3. Per the drama's premise, she's a legendary sniper navigating work-life balance as a working mother with the world's most brutal job.
(Two very different roles in the same week is a flex, honestly.)
