Highlight's Son Dong-woon cast in musical 'Gone Tomorrow' 10th anniversary run

Highlight member Son Dong-woon will play revolutionary figure Kim Ok-gyun in the 10th anniversary production of the original Korean musical Gone Tomorrow (곤 투모로우).

The show runs September 15 through November 29 at the Grand Theater of Hongik University Art Center in Jongno-gu, Seoul. That's 10 weeks on stage.

Gone Tomorrow centers on Kim Ok-gyun's final days after he fled to Japan following the Gapsin Coup, and the assassination plot that followed. The musical premiered in 2016, returned in 2021, and staged a third production in 2023.

Son Dong-woon has maintained a steady musical theater presence since 2012. His credits include Catch Me If You Can, The Great Gatsby RE:BOOT, Hourglass, and Jeon Woo-chi. Earlier this year he played Jin Ki-han in Along with the Gods: The Last 49 Days.

His schedule extends beyond the theater. He held solo concerts under the title Ever+ in Seoul in December last year and in Tokyo in February this year. JTBC variety show Artisan and Idol: Jjangdol (장인과 아이돌 : 짱돌), which he appears in, premieres on the 26th of this month.

Highlight as a group has three festival dates lined up before the Seoul run begins. The K-WAVE INFINITY K-pop Concert takes place in Kaohsiung on August 8. The 2026 CassCool Festival follows in Gwacheon on August 22. The Sustainable Wave Festival comes to Incheon on August 30.
