'I Am Solo' Season 28's Yeongja confirms split from Yeongcheol, 6 months after wedding

Yeongja, a participant on Naneun Solo (I Am Solo) Season 28, confirmed on July 31 that she and fellow cast member Yeongcheol have ended their relationship. The two had held a wedding ceremony in January.

They met on the show's divorcee special, which aired on ENA and SBS Plus from September to November of last year. By season's end, they were the final couple.

In a lengthy post on her personal SNS, Yeongja stated that the marriage was never legally registered. Each party covered their own living and economic expenses throughout their time together. No shared assets or financial matters needed resolving. Personal arrangements and the transfer of belongings have already been completed.

"I will not separately explain the process and reasons for the breakup," she wrote. On why she posted at all: "I am not a celebrity or public figure, but I thought it was proper to inform those who have cared for and worried about me of my current situation."

She apologized for not being able to reach out to concerned followers individually. She said she plans to focus on the present and future going forward.
