Jeon Hye-won lands her first leading role in KBS 2TV's *Trap of Desire*, opposite Jang Seo-hee, premiering early August after *Red Pearl*.

Jeon Hye-won is stepping into her first leading role. She plays Go Eun-seol in Trap of Desire (욕망의 덫), a KBS 2TV daily drama bowing in early August as the follow-up to Red Pearl.
The story centers on a woman destroyed by a false murder charge. Go Eun-seol refuses to accept it. She fights back against the lies, hunts for truth, and carries her wounds and anger through the full revenge arc.
Jang Seo-hee plays Ju Mi-ran opposite her. Directors Lee Dae-kyung and Jeong Gwang-su are at the helm. Gu Ji-won wrote the script. Studio Bom and Monster Union produce.
Jeon Hye-won said: "It is an honor beyond words to work with such an excellent project. At the same time, I feel a heavy sense of responsibility as this is my first leading role."
The weight is real but manageable. "The burden of a first leading role would be a lie to deny, but the solid belief within me that I can portray this character well gives me a good kind of tension."
Her agency said she'll bring desperation and survival instinct to Go Eun-seol—a person rebuilding a collapsed life. (Daily dramas run long. This is the kind of role that either makes a career or breaks it.)
Trap of Desire airs on KBS 2TV in early August.
